Last week I spent the evening at Oak Park’s Amour de la Terre, photographing an amazing holiday cocktail party hosted by Ashley Gilday (I photographed one of her brunches earlier this year, check it out!). Every part of the event was donated and 100% of the proceeds were donated to Trio Animal Foundation.
“[Trio Animal Foundation] is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that assists shelters, rescues and individuals by paying the medical bills of homeless pets. TAF also promotes adoption and responsible pet ownership, including spay and neuter.”
After ticket sales and a raffle with a selection of amazing prizes, the event raised $1,600 for Trio!
Delicious wines from Natura, and a spread of vegan cheeses, crackers, and many appetizers.
The surprise guest of honor was Hazel Grace from Trio, a dog with a terrifying story of past abuse. Usually, she relies on the other dogs she lives with for support when going out into the world. This night was her first time out by herself and she did really well!
A gorgeous selection of Daiya cheesecakes and chocolate. All of the food was delicious, and I wish I had more (balancing my time between capturing moments, photographing dogs, and eating cheesecake…oh, life is so hard!).
